Hey there!

Welcome to the website of Hanson He, a young filmmaker, an artist in progress, a skeptical and sarcastic male creature. Currently studying film in NYU.

I will talk about many things in this blog. Film reviews, fun stories, my confusion about life, my understanding about filmmaking as I grow from my experience, and so much more.

I grew up in Beijing, China. I spent the first 18 years of my life on this land and I couldn’t be prouder. But culture has its limitation. That’s why I am learning in New York, a place where you can hear different voices from all over the world.

There are so many things I need to learn. Just because I am studying film in NYU doesn’t make me a great filmmaker by default. Heck, why do I have to only label myself as “filmmaker”? I could be a writer, traveler, film critic… I guess that’s life, you have more than just a title.
